No need to capture PoK by force; its people will themselves want to join India, Rajnath Singh feels
India will never surrender its claim on Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK) due to the region's economic progress and peace. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved significantly, and a time will come when the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) will no longer be required in the Union Territory. He also mentioned that assembly elections will be held there soon, but did not provide a timeline.
